The security guard was so rude. He needs proper training. He stopped me while I was going to the makeup section, as if I were going to sneak something into my bag, and I said I just wanted to check some mascara. Later, I went to him myself for him to check my bag. He opened everything in my tote bag and purse and found a used Betadine ointment that I had been using for a few days already. Then he began to ask me questions about where I bought it and when I bought it. It was already out of its cover, with the seal broken and in use. He then began to open the cap of the ointment himself! Why would you open someone else items anyway? I said that I had been using it for over three days. He said that didn’t mean anything to him. Then he began to ask me for receipts for the things I had in my bag! Like what? Why would I possibly have receipts for all the items in my bag? He asked me so many questions over an ointment and behaved so rudely. His tone was not at all acceptable at any level. I then asked him to check the camera if he really doubted me. I understand you are doing your job, but you are not allowed to open my bag, touch and go through all the items, and ask several questions about them. If I were going to steal, I wouldn’t have shown my bag in the first place. He was highly rude and unprofessional and looked to be of South Asian descent. I felt highly disrespected in front of all the people in the store, especially when I didn’t even purchase anything.

Always get my Cologne and other basic hygiene and basic medication from here. All the team is very helpful and always assists me to choose the best deal for me. The pharmacists are also helpful when you have basic sickness. Always have good deals on everything. Much recommended.

Have visited Chemist Warehouse twice this holiday & was appalled at the way security was behaving both times . Thought I may have been imagining it so hence a second visit! Both times I was followed by a guard as soon as I approached the perfumes. Don't know why as they are all locked or security tagged? I understand the problem of shoplifting, but it seems ordinary tourists are being victimised for just looking!! Made me so uncomfortable I didn't buy the perfume I came in for. On reading some other reviews, I see I am not the only one feeling peeved!! Get your act together Chemist Warehouse, not everyone wants to shoplift

If you need anything from a pharmacy then Chemist Warehouse is definitely the place to go. Their prices are up to 50% less than anywhere else including your local chemist. They have a huge range of items from personal products to vitamins, etc. The staff are very helpful and so this place is highly recommended.
